Interfaculty Research – Psychotherapy Science

Faculty of Psychotherapy Science and Faculty of Medicine

The Institute for Psychosomatics at the Faculty of Psychotherapy Science (Head: Univ.-Prof.in Dr.in Jutta Fiegl und Dr.in Kathrin Mörtl) and the Institute of Psychosomatics, Faculty of Medicine (Head: Univ.-Prof.in Dr.in Christiane Eichenberg) have started a research cooperation and developed two new core topics in research:

Psychosomatics in Cardiology
In cooperation with Prim. Univ.-Prof. Dr. Kurt Huber, Head of the Department for Cardiology at the Wilhelminen Hospital Vienna and Dean for Research, Faculty of Medicine at SFU, the Institute of Psychosomatics, Faculty of Psychotherapy Science (Univ.-Prof.in Dr.in Jutta Fiegl und Dr.in Kathrin Mörtl) and the Institute of Psychosomatics, Faculty of Medicine (Univ.-Prof.in Dr.in Christiane Eichenberg) are carrying out research on the Tako Tsubo desease.

Psychosomatics in Fertility
A cooperative series of studies on psychosomatic and psychological aspects of fertility and desire for children by the Institute of Psychosomatics, Faculty of Psychotherapy Science (Univ.-Prof.in Dr.in Jutta Fiegl und Dr.in Kathrin Mörtl) and the Institute of Psychosomatics, Faculty of Medicine (Univ.-Prof.in Dr.in Christiane Eichenberg).

E-Mental Health
This research topic is a cooperation by the Institute of Psychosomatics, Faculty of Medicine (Univ.-Prof.in Dr.in Christiane Eichenberg) and the Institute for Children and Adolescent Psychotherapy, Faculty of Psychotherapy Science (Mag.Dr.in Gabriela Pap, MSc.).
