PTS | A Warm Welcome: Five New Teaching Therapists Join the Systemic Family Therapy Team
The Systemic Family Therapy (SF) team at Sigmund Freud Private University Vienna has grown. We are delighted to announce that Lisa Knotzer, Michaela Leon, Silke Ortner, Andrea Schmid and Wolfgang Werzowa joined the team of teaching therapists on 11 September 2025. They will be available across all SFU-SF specialist areas and, in future, for the SF professional association.
They have already distinguished themselves in a variety of teaching roles, shown strong team spirit, and will be fully committed to supporting, encouraging and constructively challenging students on their journey to becoming psychotherapists. They will also provide valuable guidance when difficulties arise, offering both expertise and practical assistance.
We would like to take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt thanks to Andreas Höher and Klaus Schmidsberger for their many years of dedicated service to the team. Their significant contributions in the fields of narrative therapy, collaborative approaches, creative methods, gerontology, anxiety and much more have offered countless students vital inspiration for both their therapeutic practice and personal growth.
They have been highly valued as teachers and colleagues, admired not only for their professional expertise but also for their generosity of spirit. We are pleased to note that they are expected to remain involved in seminar teaching, and they will also continue to be available for individual self-awareness sessions.
