PTS | SFU Students Develop Platform to Simplify Access to Psychotherapy

Two graduates of Sigmund Freud Private University have developed a digital platform designed to make it easier for people in Austria to find suitable psychotherapy services.

Thomas Kaufmann BA pth. and MMag. Dr. Gregor Studlar (Faculty of Psychotherapy Science) combined their academic training, clinical experience and direct work with clients to create a solution that addresses a common challenge within the healthcare system: finding the right therapeutic support.

For many people, the difficulties begin long before the first therapy session – with confusing directories, long waiting times and the crucial question: Which form of therapy, and which therapist, is the right fit for me?

This is where matchyourtherapy.at comes in. The platform goes beyond a traditional therapist directory by using an intelligent matching system to connect people with suitable psychotherapy centres across Austria. Recommendations are tailored to factors such as therapeutic approach, personality, availability and location.

As Sigmund Freud Private University, we are proud of this initiative by our graduates, which makes a meaningful contribution to improving access to psychotherapeutic care in Austria.
